Dear all,

The current exceptional situation in regard to the coronavirus (2019-nCoV) demands action and solidarity all over the world. The news is dominated by the coronavirus, the World Health Organization (WHO) has defined the situation as a pandemic. We wanted to contact you to reassure you that we have been monitoring the situation very closely and that we have implemented all measures recommended by the WHO, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the US and the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).

The safety of our employees, customers, and society at large is of the highest priority to Sukano. While fulfilling the needs of our customers continues to be the focus of our activities, we are doing so with the respective sense of urgency and practices the current situation demands.

The action plan drawn up by Sukano concentrates on the maintenance of operational activities (Business Continuity Management), while also enabling certain employees to work from home. This allows us to both guarantee our ability to fulfill your needs reliably and with the quality you expect under the safety and preventive requirements the situation demands, while still ensuring the health and wellbeing of our employees.

Since no one can predict how the current situation will evolve, how long it will last and what additional measures may be required by local authorities, we want to work closely with our customers on their production plans well in advance to mitigate any potential supply risks and prevent potential shortages in the coming months.

We strongly encourage all our customers to contact their direct account manager to plan and place their next orders in advance. This will allow us to react appropriately and implement actions in a timely manner if required. We will do everything in our power to continue to provide you all your orders and ensure our service. However, some delivery delays may occur, mainly due to limited border transit and additional transit time required for goods transportation.

Sukano has enacted a detailed set of measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees, visitors and customers. We are convinced that in such an exceptional situation, the protection of their health –and that of society as a whole – takes precedence.

Business trips for Sukano employees residing both inside and outside of country are no longer permitted. Customer contacts should instead be maintained via Skype or phone.

Likewise, visits to the Sukano facilities, including Sukano employees residing outside the country, are currently prohibited, with the exception of visits to ensure the current business operations (e.g. water delivery, mechanics, etc.) whose good health will be verified before entering our premises. Meetings will be held virtually

As a business we will continue to monitor developments daily and amend these procedures accordingly.

Thank you very much for your understanding during this challenging time. Let’s all work together to prevent the virus from spreading further.

Kind regards,

Sukano Management Team
