Key Industry Associations

EUBP
European Bioplastics (EUBP) advocates for the bioplastics industry in Europe, aiming to drive awareness and increase demand for bioplastics. Their mission is to promote the economic and regulatory framework in Europe to enable the bioplastics market to grow and flourish.
As a pioneer in biodegradable polymers applications, Sukano helps the industry to replace conventional plastics. Through a science-based approach and responsible design principles, we meet end-of-life and certification requirements while delivering the performance needed for innovative applications or sustainable material replacements.
NAPCOR
The National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR) is the association for the PET packaging industry in the United States, Canada, and Mexico and works to promote the use and recycling of PET packaging while highlighting its sustainable benefits. Our membership gives us access to resources and technical expertise on key industry topics which we leverage to enhance our product and service offerings. Additionally, it ensures we are up-to-date on regulatory and legislative developments. Sukano is an active member of the Opaque & Functional and Thermoform Committees at NAPCOR.
PETCORE EUROPE
PETCORE EUROPE is a Brussels-based non-profit industry organization, representing the entire PET value chain with over 160 member companies. The association is dedicated to achieving widespread recognition of PET as a circular material choice for packaging and ensuring PET is collected and recycled.
As an active member, we participate in various working groups including LCA (Life Cycle Analysis), Thermoformed PET Trays, and the labels-focused special industry group for BOPET (bi-axially oriented) films. Additionally, we chair the Opaque and Functional Bottles (O&F) group which is dedicated to establishing a new recycling stream for white opaque PET bottles and optimized end-of-life for colored and functional PET bottles.
APR
As an international non-profit, and the only North American organization focused exclusively on improving recycling for plastics, the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) intends to improve all aspects of the plastic recycling process. APR supports policy measures for recycling, creates design for recyclability guidelines, provides data, research, and communication tools for decision makers while striving to strengthen demand for post-consumer recycled content.
Sukano actively participates in the PET Toners and Additives Task Group at APR, contributing to both the fact-finding and testing teams. Additionally, we are involved in the PET Technical, Films, Olefins, and Communications and Public Affairs Committees.
